Oliver's Biography
Although only fifteen years old, Oliver is celebrating ten years since the start of his active musical life. At first his performances of Haydn and Bach piano concertos at the Hastings Festival won him first prize and reputation as a budding concert pianist. Subsequently Oliver gained two EPTA awards as the most promising young pianist in Europe at the age of seven. Same year he became the winner of the title of The Kent Young Pianist. Since then Oliver was winning every competition, he entered. When he was twelve years old, Oliver`s gift for improvisation and natural ability for composition earned him a place at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire in Italy.
"The Ninos Geniales" International Composition and Improvisation course in Granada, Spain, in 2004, has resulted in his triumphant performance at their Caja de Granada Concert Hall of his concerto for two pianos, "The Granada Walkway" Allegro moderato for violin and piano, written on the same day, and his improvisation on a theme from the audience.
Oliver has given numerous concerts for the UNESCO`s Children in Need Fund. Today Oliver’s concert engagements take him to many different countries , and he is playing alongside major artists.
The generous help of the foundations in Kent allow Oliver to study with the world`s most prominent teachers. Over the years he has won numerous scholarships for masterclasses with Dame Fanny Waterman, Professor M.Voskresensky, Dimitri Alexeev, The Imola International Music Academy, The Lake Como International Music Academy, masterclasses with the legendary Lazar Berman. With the generous support of the Searly Trust Oliver has now become a proud owner of a hand crafted Fazioli grand piano.
In 2000, the Nimbus Records have made a video recording of Oliver`s full recital in their studios, as well as the Bach D Minor concerto with their orchestra at Wyastone Summer Series in 2001. The Claves Records, Switzerland, have a recital recording of 2001.
The 2007 engagements include the Rachmaninov project with the leading cellist Nina Kotova and the outstanding violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky, the Goodnestone Festival, the White Nights in St.Petersburg, the historic masterclasses at The Chigiana Academy, piano and composition.
